Early Life & Education:
Dr. Rajya Lakshmi Edupuganti grew up in a small village called Mudinepally. She studied at Little Flower English Medium School, where she showed great dedication to her studies from a young age. With strong support from her teachers and family, she worked hard to follow her dreams.
MBBS & Awards:
She did her intermediate studies at Sri Chaitanya Junior College, Vijayawada, and later joined Meenakshi Medical College, Kanchipuram, for her MBBS. She overcame many challenges and went on to win 12 gold medals during her MBBS course.
Entrance Exams & MS Surgery:
Dr. Rajya Lakshmi cleared many tough entrance exams with top ranks, including COMEDK (Rank 14), Tamil Nadu (Rank 10), APMC (Ranks 10 & 41), CMC Vellore (Rank 3), and CMC Ludhiana (Ranks 2 & 3). She chose to study MS in General Surgery at JJM Medical College, Davangere, where she earned another gold medal.
NEET SS & Neurosurgery:
Before finishing her MS, she passed NEET SS with high ranks like Rank 1 in NIMS and NTRUHS Andhra Pradesh. She joined the MCh Neurosurgery program at IPGMER & Bangur Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata.
Specialized Training & Languages:
She was the only woman in her neurosurgery batch but still stood out through her efforts. She passed her DNB Neurosurgery on the first attempt and also earned the MRCS (UK) during her MS. She also completed PGDM and PGDDM during her neurosurgery training. She trained in Neuroendoscopy and Pain Medicine under top doctors and speaks Telugu, Tamil, English, Kannada, Hindi, and more.
Career & Teaching:
She started her neurosurgery career at the age of 28. She also helps students prepare for MCh entrance exams and has written a popular book called "Neurosurgery MCQs".
Currently, she works at EVR Super Speciality Hospital in Gudivada and runs clinics in places like Kuchipudi, Vijayawada, and Machilipatnam. She performs surgeries on the brain, spine, nerves, and offers advanced pain treatments.
Awards & Contributions:
Dr. Rajya Lakshmi takes part in many national and international programs and has been awarded at major conferences like YNF, YF, and YNN from 2022 to 2024. She is well known for her dedication to both patients and education.
